Copper Harbor is my favorite place, it will always hold a special place in my heart. Im always happy to go back and visit the area, but I love bringing people to the area and showing them why it is such a special place. This trip up to Copper Harbor I brought two good friends and was able to show them the parts of the area that always bring me back. While they had been to the Keweenaw before, they were excited to have a “tour guide” for the area. I grew up coming up to Copper almost every summer and eventually spent a few years in the area while attending Michigan Tech and have learned the area pretty well over the years. We had great weather for this trip and were able to see the Milky Way at night from the view point at Brockway Mountain, explored the Keweenaw Point Trail out to the Keweenaw rocket range, found a cemetery on the side of the highway, and explored Copper Harbor and Marquette.
