Winter Trip 2021

About This Trip:

“TO THE NORTH!” This was the motto of our entire trip. We had to constantly adapt to unexpected situations, from warm weather and snow melting to breaking a part on one of the Jeeps. But having open mindsets and being with friends made this trip unforgettable. We had originally planned to visit the Huron-Manistee National Forest, but the significant snow melt due to the warm weather pushed us north to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We purchased almost half a cord of firewood, which caused the e-lockers on one of the Jeeps to malfunction because of the weight. Some of the group thought they were going to be kidnapped while staying in the car (for some reason) when it was taken to a shop to have the tires aired back up, the last thing we hear from the car as it was pulling away was “would you like some Chewy Spree?” While at Tahquamenon Falls Campground, we built an igloo that stayed at the site until early summer. It took 5 of us almost an entire day to build the igloo, but it was a very fun experience.
